ABOUT PODEMOS

PODEMOS Corp. emerges as an initiative that recognizes the lack of mental health services in the Hispanic community in the state of Kansas. Less than 2% of mental health therapists in the state are bilingual. This has caused around 65% of Spanish-speaking patients to be unable to access individual therapy services. Due to the high cost of individual therapy services, PODEMOS offers the alternative of a community psycho-education program. PODEMOS educates the community about mental health issues. This increases the organic capacity of our people to understand how mental health works. This is a protective factor against public health risks.
